The gift of Forgetting

In the brow of the eternal child,

where all already is,

forgetting takes its place

and gives birth to life.

To live, the child must forget,
because forgetting begets free will.
And that freedom begets the real.

The child’s first true friend.

It allows nothing
to know what something looks like.
It allows awareness to ride the experience of reality
as it bounces from choice to choice.

And if you forgot, dear child,
nothing was done to you.

You are it.
Allowing the One Awareness
to experience life through you.

And you’re doing it right now.

So, if you feel lost
or unsure of who you are,
or where you are,
unsure of what this is all about:

You are the great friend.

How you choose to wander is who you are.
Where you choose to go is where you are.
And the purpose
is all you make of it.

So if you wander,
then wander well.

Wander your way.
Wander with style.
Wander in mystery,
holding the hand of the unknown.
Let it be the one
to carry you home.

Because in your wandering,
in your choices,

you are reality.

Do you understand the importance of that?
The beauty in it?

You are the cake that tastes itself.

And in its recipe,
you’ll taste love.
There will also be bites

bitter with the wonder of where love hides.
And through that dance,
awareness comes to know
what truly is.

Thank you, Forgetting.
Thank you for reminding me.

Now,
I tend the fire of a home
where the wanderer
can rest
in the mystery
that has dissolved me.

-Love
