Beauty

I used to believe that melancholy was inherent in beauty.

I recognized how the beautiful moments fade, beautiful things will be lost, & beautiful beings will parish.

What I didn’t recognize was the overarching beauty of the cycles, the essence who’s vantage point rests above our experiences, possessions, & surroundings.

The higher-self of beauty is not dependent on the “things”.

Beauty comes beautifully, and goes beautifully. The moments between one beautiful “thing” and the next are also beautiful.

Melancholy only exists in time. Beauty exists in always and everything.

To the cosmically stubborn: you’ll also find that we live in a world where that which is beautiful is “true”, and that which is true, is beautiful.

Reality is truly beautiful.

This might help one to let go of the things that go, knowing they are just remnants of an outgrown inability to experience life as it is.

This might also help one find comfort in being as they are, in all of their glory.
